Clean Water Action of Connecticut is excited to announce the Waterbury Home Energy Action Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to educate Waterbury residents about Home Energy Solutions^SM, a residential home energy assessment and service, and help them sign up! Waterbury Home Energy Action is a partnership between Clean Water Action of Connecticut; Nest, Inc.; Riba Aspira; and the City of Waterbury with support from Energize Connecticut^SM Sponsor, Eversource.

Customers who meet income eligibility requirements may qualify for a no-cost Home Energy Solutions – Income Eligible^SM visit. Energy-efficiency services can help residents save money on energy bills and increase comfort at home.

The campaign has also teamed up with New England Smart Energy, a utility-authorized contractor, to provide the home energy assessment and service. They will review your home’s energy performance, implement on-the-spot improvements, and show you how to save money and energy year-round.

This service is offered at no cost for income-eligible residents and for a $40 co-pay for all other customers. The average value of the products and services received is $850, and the average household saves $180 per year after the initial visit, and even more if additional weatherization recommendations are completed.

The campaign’s goal is to complete 514 Home Energy Solutions – Income Eligible assessments before the end of this year.

During your visit, you’ll also learn about available Energize CT rebates, incentives, and financing options. The visit includes a blower door test, a health and safety check, a comprehensive energy report, and instant savings measures, including air sealing and installation of water-saving devices.
