Energize Connecticut℠ Rebates & Incentives
Energize Connecticut helps you save money and use clean energy. It is an initiative of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the Connecticut Green Bank, the State, and your local electric and gas utilities with funding from a charge on customer energy bills.
- Insulation Rebates: The program pays $1.70/sqft if the insulation is installed by an authorized contractor.
- Replacement Window Rebates: The window rebate offers $100 per window for replacing single-pane windows with ENERGY STAR® certified, triple-pane windows (no storm windows).
- Heat Pump HVAC Rebates: Save up to $15,000 on qualifying air-source heat pumps and ductless mini split heat pumps.
- Heat Pump Water Heater Rebates: Save up to $650 on qualifying heat pump water heaters.
- Gas Heating Rebates: Get a $650 mail-in rebate for qualifying natural gas furnaces or a $750 mail-in rebate for qualifying natural gas boilers.
- Gas Water Heater Rebates: Save $300 on a gas condensing water heater or tankless gas water heater with an instant discount.

The first step is to schedule a Home Energy Solutions assessment. This comprehensive assessment has a $75 co-pay and includes on-the-spot energy-efficiency upgrades, including air sealing and duct sealing. During your home energy assessment, we’ll verify whether you qualify for additional incentives and walk you through the process of claiming your rebates. Income-eligible homeowners can receive an assessment and services at no cost!
Energy-Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credits
The Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit reduces your federal income tax liability by 30% of your project costs for qualifying energy efficiency improvements. You can claim up to $1,200 a year on qualifying improvements and an additional $2,000 a year on heat pump and heat pump water heater installation costs.
