Why Install a Heat Pump in Connecticut?
Heat pumps have many benefits for Connecticut homeowners.

Energy Efficiency
Heat pumps use less energy than other types of HVAC systems and can save you money on your energy bills.

Comfort
Heat pumps keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They make your home more comfortable and can solve problems like uneven heating, high humidity, and hot/cold spots.

Safety
Since they don’t burn fuel, there’s no risk of a carbon monoxide or gas leak with a heat pump.

Eco-Friendly
Switching to a heat pump helps reduce your carbon footprint and contributes to a healthier planet.
How Does a Heat Pump Work?
A heat pump is an all-electric heating and cooling system. It works by moving heat from one place to another instead of burning fuel to generate heat the way a furnace does.
In cooling mode, a heat pump works just like an air conditioner by removing heat from the air inside your home and dumping it outside. But unlike an air conditioner, a heat pump can reverse the process. In heating mode, it extracts heat from the air outside and uses it to heat your home.

Heat Pump Rebates & Incentives in CT
Heat pumps are eligible for rebates and incentives that significantly reduce your installation costs. New England Smart Energy Group is an authorized contractor with Energize CT, and we can help you take advantage of these savings.

Thanks to a city grant, income-eligible New Haven residents may qualify for additional incentives!
Income-eligible homeowners in New Haven can stack Energize CT rebates with additional rebates paid for by a city grant. In most cases, it will fully cover the cost of your heat pump installation.
